In compliance with the recommendations of the National Education Policy 1986, District Education and Training Institute was established in each district.

DIETs have been established as centers of guidance for educational institutes and schools of a district. Also, work as a platform for research and experimental work in the educational domain. It also organizes programs to train teachers in innovations.

District Institute of Education and Training is situated in the Pindari Village of District Jalaun.
